Completing a Boat Licence Central Coast course from Maritime Training School can give you all of the tools you need to have a fun, wet, and memorable summer. Whether you want to enjoy this favourite past time with friends, family, or alone, our Gosford Boat Licence Course can help you achieve this dream quickly and easily in a safe and supportive environment.
In NSW, the government requires that anyone who operates a powered vessel that can travel at over 10 knots have a boating licence to legally operate the vessel. This licencing test requires that you have experience and practical training before you attempt the 50 question boat licencing exam, and this is where our staff at Maritime Training School come in with our Gosford Boat Licence Course.
3 Steps to get your boat Licence
1) Learn the theory part of the course
2) Pass the theory exam (50 mulitple questions). We will then give you the boat licence application form.
Obtain your practical log book from us or from any Transport For NSW Office.
– Go on 3 separate boat trips with an experienced skipper of more than 3 years experience who will coach and train you and who will complete the log book. Note: you can opt to book a practical training session with MTS which consists of 20min pp and we can tick off the practical component on your application form – NO LOG BOOK REQUIRED.
3) Take your completed log book with your application form that we provided you in class to a RMS or Service NSW to get your licence
You can also add PWC to your course registration and complete both theory and exam courses on the same day. (Practical is not required for PWC).
